Operating at a constant pressure of 100 psi (7 bar), the Mid-Matic™ is designed to maintain pressure while allowing the operator to adjust the water flow according to operational requirements. The nozzle delivers a variable flow range of 70–200 GPM (260–760 l/min), providing flexibility for different firefighting situations.

One of the key features of the TFT Mid-Matic™ is its patented turbulence-free stainless steel slide valve. The valve is engineered to manage water flow while supporting smooth nozzle operation. Its stainless steel construction also provides durability for demanding firefighting environments.

The nozzle incorporates six detent flow positions, allowing firefighters to select the desired flow setting during operation. This provides greater control over water application and allows the nozzle to be adapted to changing firefighting requirements. Another practical feature is the integrated “Gasket Grabber” debris screen. Firefighting water supplies can sometimes contain debris that may affect nozzle performance. The TFT Mid-Matic™ is available with either a 2.5-inch or 1.5-inch BIC male inlet, providing connection options for different hose and firefighting system configurations. This flexibility makes it suitable for a range of professional fire-service applications.
